Description
The Wiimote has an integrated infrared camera that can track up to four infrared light sources with 100Hz. The image processing is taking part in the hardware and no additional effort is necessary -- the Wiimote already returns coordinates for all tracked light sources.
An infrared-LED could be mounted onto the slot cars and the Wiimote could be fixed to the ceiling to track the current position of multiple cars.
This is an experimental idea that should only be attempted when the main functions of the projects have been completed.
